Institutional Integrity and Code of Ethics

The Santiago Radio Oncological Institute INRAD stands out for its commitment to an exemplary ethical line, based on powerful values. To this end, it has an Institutional Integrity Program, which is governed by the organization’s Ethical Code. The primary objective of this program is to create an ethical framework of work in line with the philosophy and values that characterize the organizational culture of the institution, which is one of the pillars that enhance the prestige of the clinic. A commitment to integrity is expected at all levels of the organization, and achieving results at the expense of violating the law or ethical principles is not tolerated. Under this line, the active monitoring of the Institutional Integrity Program ensures that all INRAD collaborators perform transparent and exemplary work, in total commitment to institutional values.

To ensure integrity at all organizational levels, the scope of the Code of Ethics is comprehensive, from senior management to external distributors of the institution. Anyone collaborating with the excellence-driven work of INRAD must be fully aware of and committed to the Institutional Integrity Program. Thus, the scope of the Ethical Code is defined as follows:

“This regulation applies, regardless of geographical location, to the Directors and employees of INRAD, as well as to advisors, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and business partners who conduct business with INRAD.”

All activities carried out by both the Directors and the Staff must be based on the ethical values and basic principles of action that constitute the guide for ethical business conduct. Likewise, all individuals covered by the Ethical Code must respect these values and adjust their conduct to the strict observance of the same. These principles are defined as follows:

  • Integrity: Maintain impeccable behavior, necessarily aligned with uprightness and honesty. Promote rigorous consistency between corporate practices and Corporate Ethical Values.
  • Transparency: Disseminate truthful, verifiable, appropriate, and faithful information about management and conduct clear communication, both internally and externally.
  • Responsibility: Assume their responsibilities and act in accordance with them, committing all their capabilities to fulfill the proposed objectives.
  • Safety: Provide optimal working conditions in terms of health and safety. Demand a high level of safety in processes, facilities, and services, paying special attention to the protection of employees, contractors, clients, and the local environment, and transmit this principle of action to the entire Organization.
  • Sustainability: Develop its activities in a sustainable manner and oriented to respect for the environment and sustainability.
  • Human Rights: Respect for Human Rights is an essential presupposition for developing INRAD’s activities, which ensures their safeguarding in its scope of action.
  • Gender Equity: INRAD guarantees that both women and men receive the same treatment and growth opportunities in the company, with identical conditions and possibilities, including economic ones, for those who hold the same positions. It also guarantees equitable access to institutional programs and benefits for both genders.

The legal and regulatory compliance of the institutional integrity program establishes the organization’s commitment to adhering to the laws, regulations, and standards relevant to its industry. In this regard, the program adjusts to and respects both Chilean laws and applicable international regulations.

The main standards of conduct referred to in the Code of Ethics are as follows:
